When it comes to agriculture, understanding nutrients can be a bit confusing. There are a plethora of different companies that produce plant nutrients, which have multiple lines of nutrients, supplements, and additives. Once you decide on which nutrients to use, you must then determine the amount needed and how frequently the plants must be fed. Now, I will explain to you which nutrients I prefer to use and how often to use them. General Hydroponics Flora Trio is one the simplest, easiest, and least expensive nutrient lines on the market, which provides a simple solution to your problem while keeping your plants healthy and fed.

Understanding General Hydroponics Flora Trio

General Hydroponics is a company that produces nutrients, potting mixes, and pH adjustment kits, which also includes the nutrient line “Flora Trio.” Despite the name, there is nothing general about General Hydroponics, which is great for the soil, coco coir, and hydro.

The Flora Trio includes 3 bottles, including Grow, Micro, and Bloom, which differ in ratios and are later combined depending on the maturity of your plant. By using the 3 products above will provide your plants with the nutrients they need, which saves you plenty of time and money.

For those who are familiar with the GH standard formula, which is half of the recommended dosage and is typically proven to be too high for growing cannabis. We strongly recommend using the amount listed above and if the plant happens to show signs of deficiencies, you should first check the pH balance, which will more than likely resolve the issue.

If your plant continues to show signs of nutrient deficiencies and if the pH level is correct, you should then increase your amount of nutrients, which should never increase the amount recommended by GH Flora. For those using coco coir or reverse osmosis water must add magnesium and calcium supplements. If you happen to be using tap water, it’ll likely already contain more than enough magnesium and calcium. (See the standard instructions below)
